DMC - Disco Mix Club
In the beginning DMC invented the word 'megamix' to describe the art of DJs mixing records into a none-stop medley. It really began in 1981 when Tony Prince, DMCs founder, started to play DJ mixes on his Radio Luxembourg programme. The show eventually became known as the 'Disco Mix Club Show'.
DMC soon started selling vinyl, and then CDs (when they were invented!) with these megamixes on. The current catalogue of CDs has expanded to encompass all styles of DJing, from Hard Core Club to mobile DJs, giving every DJ the source material they need. Many still feature megamixes and remixes, along with useful collections of unmixed tracks, to fill out your collection.
